Bloom Drum Percussion covers a wide range of hand percussion, from djembes, surdos and bongos to talking drums, shakers and agogos. The samples are arranged in eight banks and can be triggered across 14 keys, with each sample synced to the host tempo. The 250 included presets give a starting point for rhythm work, and the sequencer and macros help shape patterns and textures. You can also import your own audio files and swap them in at any time.

Sound Sources and Percussion Range

Excite Audio recorded a broad selection of percussion for this library, covering low-end instruments such as djembes and surdos, mid-range tones from congas and timbales, and brighter elements like shakers, tambourines and woodblocks.

The set also includes less common sounds such as turtle shells, bamboo slit drums and samba whistles. Samples are organized into eight banks, so you can audition a bank and drag sounds onto any of the 14 keys.

Workflow, Sequencing and Effects

Choose a tempo, pick a bank or preset, and play the keys. White keys trigger drum samples and loops, while black keys change playback speed and pitch and trigger sequences and effect modulation.

The Edit page offers start and end markers, playback direction and pitch controls. A dedicated sequencer handles one-shots and looping patterns, and three effects modules (Noise, Reverb and Dynamics) are controlled by four macros: Drive, Slap Delay, Multi Delay and Lo-Fi.
