Bloom Drum Percussion Upgrade from Bloom Drum Percussion Lite is a percussion plugin by Excite Audio that expands the Lite edition with more Latin and African samples, presets and sample import. It is an upgrade for existing Lite owners.
This upgrade is built for owners of Bloom Drum Percussion Lite who want a larger instrument. It adds more presets and samples to the Bloom engine, along with the ability to import your own audio files. The instrument centers on hand-played Latin and African percussion, from djembes and surdos to shakers, agogos and talking drums. Samples are synced to your host tempo, so the grooves stay locked to your project.
Excite Audio recorded a broad range of percussion across the frequency spectrum. The library includes congas, bongos, timbales, djembes, talking drums, udu and balafons, plus shakers, rattles, triangles, cowbells, agogos and woodblocks.
The developer says the sounds were captured with a mix of high-end analogue gear and contemporary production techniques. The Lite-to-full upgrade brings the library to 112 percussion samples across eight banks.
The instrument uses 14 BPM-synced sample keys spread across two octaves. White keys trigger drum samples and loops, while black keys change playback speed and pitch and trigger sequences and effect modulation.
Four macros (Drive, Slap Delay, Multi Delay and Lo-Fi) and five main FX parameters (Noise, Reverb, Dynamics, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut) shape the sound. The Edit page offers playback direction, speed and choke group controls, and you can import up to 112 of your own samples, which can be swapped at any time.
