01Overview

VISION 4X Lite is a spectral analysis effect developed by Excite Audio, presented as a lighter entry point to the VISION 4X family. Real-Time Spectrogram Display

The analyser shows your audio as a high-definition spectrogram. Freeze and zoom functions let you capture a snapshot of a sound and examine a narrower part of the frequency spectrum. The Freeze Display and Zoom-In features support closer inspection of details that might otherwise be missed.

Customisable Frequency Range and dB Range controls set the scope of the display. Map Curve or Tone Bias focuses the colour map on specific frequencies, and ten colour maps are available, each chosen for information density.

Timing, Sync and Display Modes

The analysis timeframe can be synced to your DAW. Continuous mode runs the visualisation without interruption, while Overlay mode loops a timeframe and redraws the analysis.

MIDI retriggering restarts the analysis each time a MIDI signal is received, which suits comparing sounds such as kick drums. The information bar shows pitch, note, dB and timing data when you hover over the display.
