Sound Sources and Playing Techniques
Waterharp covers a wide set of articulations. Bowing options include slow, medium and fast FX, sustains with and without water, staccato and two-note legato. Bowed sweeps can be played with water in the chamber or without it.
The mallet articulations use different materials and tine positions. Rubber mallets are sampled at +16 tines, metal mallets at +8 tines and wooden mallets at +20 tines. Hydro mallets, also at +20 tines, are included with six round robin samples. Hand-played metal tabla sounds are available at the bottom and top of the instrument.
The library also includes effects recorded with magnets, a hydrophone (underwater microphone), vocals and boiling water at four temperature levels.
