TONEX Royal 45 Legends is an amp simulator plugin built around three rare British 45-watt heads from the 1960s. Sound and Character of the Three Amplifiers

The collection is based on a 1964 White Tolex, an early 1964 White Panel and a 1965 transition-era model. IK Multimedia says the White Tolex has an open, touch-sensitive response with soft compression and fluid breakup. The White Panel is described as faster and more articulate in the upper midrange, with less compression than later examples. The 1965 model, equipped with KT66 tubes, is described as having thicker mids, smoother compression and a rounder overdrive.

Across the set, lower gain settings stay bright and expressive, while pushing the amps produces compressed, harmonically rich overdrive. The low end is described as loose and open, favoring warmth and feel over tight attack.

Cabinets, Speakers and Included Rigs

Every Tone Model was captured through period-correct cabinets loaded with Celestion G12M25 Greenbacks or early-1960s Celestion G12 Alnico speakers. Three speaker configurations are included: Greenbacks, Alnico and Mixed.

The collection contains 50 Tone Models and 10 presets, with amp-only models for pairing with your own IRs and full amp-and-cab captures. Select models add classic stompboxes for a wider tonal range.
