Sound Character and Tape Colors

Arturia says the plugin combines virtual analog modeling with machine learning to capture the J-37's non-linearities and magnetization textures. The Color control offers four tape colors, from clean to gritty, so you can move between subtle warmth and more obvious wear.

Modern Mode keeps bright highs while adding analog warmth, which suits sources that need to stay crisp and punchy. The Drive knob sets the input level and drives saturation and distortion, with auto gain compensation to help keep output levels steady as you push the sound.

Workflow Controls and Advanced Options

The Speed control switches between high-speed clarity and low-speed warmth. Play / Stop adds tape-stop effects for playback control. Stereo Offset widens the image with subtle channel dispersion.

The Advanced Panel adds EQ, delay, noise and instability controls for further shaping. An authentic VU meter shows input level and Total Harmonic Distortion. The plugin includes 25 quality presets designed for vocals, guitars, bass and master mix enhancement.
