Sound Design and Modular Routing in Synthi V
The core of Synthi V is three oscillators with a waveform mix, a noise generator and an 18 dB/oct resonant filter, followed by an output section with spring reverb modelling. The architecture is modular, so signals can be routed in unexpected ways rather than along a fixed path.
Modulation sources include a ring modulator, a loopable envelope shaper, a two-axis joystick and a sample and hold module. Matrix pin amounts can be set across four independent groups, and two matrix behavior modes, modern and vintage, change how cross-talk between routings is handled.
