Drum Kit Sound and Articulations

The kit is a Yamaha Recording Custom, with a Dunnett Titanium snare and a set of Zildjian and Paiste cymbals that includes hats, two crashes, a ride, a china and a splash.

The instrument covers a broad range of articulations, including closed, open, pedal and half-open hats, cross stick, dampened and open snare, a ride bell, and choked versions of the crashes, china and splash. A snare rimshot is mapped to the top velocity layer for natural playing.

The library uses 4 to 5 velocity layers and 4 round robins per sample to add variation across repeated hits.

Workflow, Routing and Mapping

A streamlined master section gives quick access to the kit, while deeper controls let you adjust each element, including the kick, snare, toms and cymbals.

Multi output routing lets you send the individual channels to separate mixer tracks, so you can process the kick, snare, toms and cymbals on their own. MIDI mapping is also supported.

The instrument includes 4 presets as starting points for different setups.
