01Overview

Sound Like When The Levee Breaks focuses on the large, room-driven drum tone associated with one of rock's best-known recordings. The instrument is built from a 1970s Ludwig Green Sparkle kit, a Ludwig Supraphonic LM402 snare and Paiste Sound Edge and 2002 Series cymbals. Just Add Drums says the high room mic setup was replicated to capture the natural reverb of the original, and that a tape delay associated with engineer Andy Johns was emulated as well.

Traditional and Modern Bonham Drum Styles

The instrument is offered in two styles. Traditional Bonham is the developer's faithful tribute to the original sound. Modern Bonham keeps the same energy but uses lower drum tunings for contemporary productions.

Both styles are available in every listed format, so you can choose the tuning that suits your track without switching instruments.

Controls, Mic Channels and Routing

A streamlined master section gives quick access to the overall kit. For more detailed work, you can adjust individual elements including Kick, Snare, Toms and Cymbals, and take control of each microphone channel to shape the drum sound.

Multi output routing is supported, so individual channels can be sent to separate mixer tracks. The snare rimshot is mapped to the top velocity layer for more natural playing. MIDI mapping is listed as coming soon.
