Granular Looping and Control Methods
Slice runs up to nine simultaneous loopers, each with its own adjustable settings for real-time granular processing. The loopers draw from a common audio buffer that can be frozen and resized on the fly, which makes it possible to keep a passage sounding while you reshape it.
Control is handled in two ways. The main method, called Petal, influences several loopers at once for loose, performance-oriented changes. For more direct control, an alternate XY pad sets the position and spread of the loopers, which lets Slice work like a more traditional granulator.
