Sick 5: Kontakt Instrument for Sci-Fi, Horror and Mystery Sounds

The five instrument sets include the Astral Dirge Pipe, a custom multi-key tuned didgeridoo with chromatic sustains, staccatos and effects. The Channeling Tube is a spring-powered effect percussion instrument, played both percussively and semi-chromatically. The Conjuring Bell is a tuned mallet instrument with a sound hole at its base that lets you create wah-wah effects as it rings.

The Spectral Moaner is a droning wind instrument with tonal sustains, and the Demon String is an acoustic guitar with resonant synthesis that produces organ-like drones. It includes chromatic string plucks and major, minor and octave chord types.

Each instrument was captured in a large hall at close and far distances using widely spaced stereo pairs. The close position sounds full and present with little hall reverberation. The far position is more distant and wet, with more air and environmental influence. You can load and mix the two positions to save RAM and set the balance you want, and the Release control tightens the room tail when you need a drier sound.

The FX Rack provides multi-effects, compression, EQ, amp and speaker simulation, and convolution reverb. It includes dozens of custom recorded rooms, halls, cathedrals and otherworldly impulses.
