Sick 4: Horror Percussion and Sound Effects Kontakt Library by Soundiron

The core of Sick 4 is 35 percussion articulations, each with 12 round-robin variations and up to eight velocity layers. Sources include pumpkins struck with hands, sticks, mallets and hammers, a metal bucket played with fingers and sticks, bone and hacksaws, and chains used for impacts, rattles and swings.

The library also covers heavier impacts such as hammer and wrench blows, drilling, and drags over stone and metal. Soundiron says the set is built for both playable percussion and detailed horror foley, so it can serve as a rhythmic instrument or as a source for effects work.

Beyond the percussion, Sick 4 includes 1,300 horror sound effects, 1,425 percussive sound effects and 54 ambiences and soundscapes. The library totals about 2 GB and contains 2,779 samples in 24-bit/48kHz uncompressed WAV.

It ships as 11 Kontakt 5.1 instrument presets with a custom interface offering automation-ready sound shaping controls. Because it uses the standard open Kontakt format, the sample folders are accessible for editing and for use in other WAV-compatible software.
