Restoration tools and machine learning features

iZotope describes RX 12 as a suite of more than 50 tools for fixing audio problems, from background noise to dialogue intonation. The release adds Stems View, which splits audio into stems through Scene Rebalance, Music Rebalance and Dialogue Isolate, so a tool can be applied to one element at a time.

De-bleed has been rebuilt with machine learning and now works in real time, without needing a separate bleed reference track. Breath Control and Dialogue Isolate also use newer neural network processing for finer control over breaths and speech.

Workflow for music, post and content

RX 12 Standard is positioned for taking tracks from raw to clean. Music Rebalance can adjust individual mix elements in real time, and it can separate vocals, bass, percussion and other instruments for remixes, instrumentals or vocal stems, offline or in real time.

The interface has been redesigned with a larger spectrogram, a module search and a resizable History panel, which helps when working on a laptop.
