New features and modules in RX 12

iZotope says RX 12 adds Scene Rebalance, which lets you adjust dialogue, music and effects levels independently and make detailed edits within a mix. Stems View splits audio into stems through Scene Rebalance, Music Rebalance and Dialogue Isolate, so any RX tool can be applied to an individual stem.

De-bleed and Breath Control have been rebuilt with neural networks, and the new Trim Silence module detects and removes audio lulls in long files. Music Rebalance offers real-time adjustment of individual mix elements and source separation for vocals, bass, percussion and other instruments.

Formats and system requirements

RX 12 Advanced is available in VST3, AU and AAX formats, all 64-bit only, for Windows and macOS. On Windows, the requirements are Windows 10 (22H2) or Windows 11 (24H2). On macOS, supported versions are macOS Sonoma (14.7.x), macOS Sequoia (15.7.x) and macOS Tahoe (26.4.x), on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs.

Some modules have format limits. Repair Assistant works in AAX Audiosuite, AU and VST3, while Ambience Match and De-rustle are available in AAX Audiosuite only.
