New tools and changes in RX 12

iZotope says RX 12 adds Scene Rebalance, which lets you adjust dialogue, music and effects levels in post, and Stems View, which applies RX tools to individual stems. The developer also reports rebuilt De-bleed and Breath Control modules using neural networks, and improved Music Rebalance and Dialogue Isolate modules.

A new Trim Silence module detects and removes audio lulls in long files. The interface also gets a larger Spectrogram, a module search, and a resizable History panel.

Requirements and host support

The plugin runs on Windows 10 (22H2) and Windows 11 (24H2), and on macOS Sonoma, Sequoia and Tahoe, including Intel and Apple silicon Macs. Formats are VST3, AU, AAX and AAX Audiosuite, with ARA variants for some formats.
