01Overview

PX WaveFrame is built from recordings of the WaveFrame AudioFrame, a high-end digital sampling system developed in Boulder, Colorado. UVI recorded each sample from the original hardware and added a second processed 'FX' version of every sound. The instrument pairs these vintage recordings with newly programmed patches, covering pads, basses, keys, strings, brass, drums and effects. Its interface echoes the look of the original system.

Faithful Samples and Modern Presets

UVI's sound design team recorded the digital artifacts and tonal character of the original AudioFrame hardware, preserving its pristine sampling approach. Each sound also exists in a separately recorded 'FX' version, giving producers a more modernized sonic option alongside the original.

On top of this sample base, UVI programmed 350 presets with modern production aesthetics in mind. The library spans Keys, Guitars, Bass, Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Synths, Drums and Effects, from lush pads and evolving soundscapes to basses and cinematic textures.

Dual-Layer Architecture and Built-In Effects

The dual-layer architecture lets you shape each sound with envelopes, filters, LFOs and modulation. The built-in effects include EQ, Drive, Thorus, Phasor, Ensemble, Delay and Sparkverb.

You can use presets as they are for quick results, or open the layers and effects to design your own variations.
