01Overview

Mission 6 is a synthesizer plugin built around sounds captured from a vintage hardware polysynth. UVI recorded over 33,000 samples from the original instrument and built 400 presets from more than 340 layers. The presets cover bass, keys, pluck, strings, polysynth, leads and vocal-style sounds. Each preset is fully editable, so you can use it as is or as a starting point for your own patches.

Sound Character and Range

The original hardware offers dual-oscillator, dual-filter voices, cross and ring modulation, and both SEM and Ladder-style filters per voice. Mission 6 is designed to reproduce that sonic range. UVI's sound designers used it to create tones from OB-style vintage sounds to thick, gritty FM textures, filter-swept pads, bubbling leads and experimental effects.

The developer positions the presets across genres, from 1980s pop to modern hip-hop, scoring and other styles, so the plugin can serve a wide range of productions.

Controls, Modulation and Effects

Mission 6 gives you control over oscillators, envelopes, multimode filters, the LFO and step modulator, and two arpeggiators. Each sound is built from two layers that you can edit independently.

The effects section includes EQ, drive, Thorus, ensemble, Phasor, delay and Sparkverb. The interface follows the layout of the hardware, with controls clearly labeled for quick tweaking.
