01Overview

Polyscape Analogue is built around a multi-layer synthesizer engine that the developer says inherits the core of Polyscape Nova. Where Polyscape Nova leans toward large soundscapes, this version emphasizes fatter, rawer analog-style tones. It ships with 100 factory presets covering pads, keys, leads and basses, and it includes a set of studio-grade effects, among them a reverb and delay combo, a Drive module, a Glue compressor and a Tonal EQ. It runs as a VST3, AU or AAX plugin on Windows and macOS.

Sound Design With Four Layers and a Sub Layer

The core of Polyscape Analogue is a synth engine with four main audio layers, each offering deep sound design options. A dedicated sub layer is included for low-end weight, which suits bass patches and heavier basslines.

The developer describes the interface as minimalist and clean, with Retina support. Controls are MIDI-learnable, so you can map key parameters to hardware controllers in your host.

Drive, Echoluxe and the Smart Randomizer

The Drive module offers five distortion algorithms, ranging from subtle saturation to crunchy overdrive. Echoluxe combines a delay and a reverb in one unit, with two reverb algorithms and an analog-modelled delay.

The Smart Randomizer generates variations on the sound source, ADSR, delay, texture, reverb or the whole patch, which helps when you want to explore new starting points quickly.
