01Overview

Podcaster is built for recording and broadcasting spoken audio. Digital Brain Instruments positions it as an all-in-one session tool, so a computer and an audio interface can handle the mixing work normally done by a hardware mixer. It covers talk shows, dialogue recordings and small broadcasting events, with a built-in player, a sampler and a voice changer alongside the channel tools.

Mixing and Channel Processing

Podcaster provides a 7-channel software mixer with up to 5 mono inputs and 2 stereo inputs. Each channel includes a 3-band equalizer, a deesser, a compressor and 2 plugin slots, along with a noise gate, pitch-shifting and delay-echo effects.

The mixer has 3 stereo outputs and 4 aux outputs, so audio can be routed to separate destinations such as a stream, a recorder or a monitor mix. A dedicated metering section shows levels across the session.

Voice Effects, Sampling and Session Control

A voice changer engine includes 8 pre-designed effects that alter your voice in real time. A built-in audio player and sampler section let you bring prerecorded material and short clips into a live session.

You can record the stereo master or individual channels, save and recall presets, and control Podcaster from a MIDI device.
