01Overview

Midi Player Pro gives producers a way to run MIDI effect plugins outside a host that lacks native MIDI FX support. It supports two MIDI FX racks, each holding up to four plugins, so you can build separate processing chains. Two MIDI input sources and four MIDI outputs add flexibility for routing, and tempo sync keeps tempo-dependent MIDI effects aligned with your project. It is available as a plugin and as a standalone application.

Routing and MIDI FX Chains

Each of the two racks accepts up to four VST2, VST3 or AU MIDI effect plugins, letting you build layered or sequential processing chains. A MIDI range filter on each rack sends only selected notes through a given chain, so different key ranges can be processed by different effects.

The two MIDI input sources allow two controllers to feed the host at once, and the four MIDI outputs can each be assigned their own channel. Together these options cover splitting, layering and routing MIDI between instruments.

Workflow and Project Management

Tempo sync sets the project tempo so tempo-dependent MIDI effects stay in time with your session. A computer keyboard can be used as a MIDI device, and a built-in MIDI keyboard is included for playing notes without an external controller.

You can save and load a project template, and the host can recall the last used settings, which helps when returning to an existing session.
