Oscillators, LFOs and Frequency Control

Oscar provides three oscillators covering 0Hz to 20kHz. Each oscillator offers sine, triangle, raw and square wave shapes, and the oscillators can be linked. An LFO with adjustable shape is available on each oscillator.

Frequency can be set with a dial for precise control, or nudged up and down with keyboard shortcuts. Automatic frequency change programs and oscillator portamento between selected frequencies are included. Fixed frequency panels let you store up to 10 frequencies and recall any of them in one click, and these panels can be linked together.

Noise Generator, Routing and Recording

The noise generator produces pink and white noise, and you can set a specific audio range for it. Oscillator and noise outputs can be routed to up to six soundcard outputs, depending on your hardware.

Recording saves WAV or AIFF files at up to 192kHz and 32 bits, depending on your soundcard. A MIDI matrix lets you control Oscar from a MIDI device, and presets can store and recall the whole session.
