Sound Generation, Wavetables and FM Synthesis

Phase Plant lets you choose from regular waveforms, wavetables, samples and noise as source sounds. A set of factory wavetables is included, and the Wavetable Editor lets you design your own.

FM is handled across the generators. You can cross-modulate volume, frequency and phase between all signal generators, and self-modulate as well, which opens up unusual tones and textures.

A Granular Generator was added in a recent update, giving you another way to shape source material.

Modulation, Effects and MPE Control

The modulation section connects modulators and utilities in many combinations. You can use precise envelopes and LFOs, or randomization for unpredictable generative patches.

Kilohearts Essentials effects sit in three effects lanes, where they can be combined and modulated. Premium effects are sold separately if you want more processing options.

MPE compatibility lets an MPE controller shape pitch, pressure and timbre per note, so presets can be played with more expression.
