How the NR800 Reduces Noise
Most of the NR800's processing works on broadband frequencies. For problem areas, you can focus noise reduction on a narrow part of the spectrum using its focus points. The eight bands each have a noise reduction amount fader and a noise detection threshold marker.
An input filter section offers high-pass and low-pass pre-filtering with slopes up to 36 dB per octave. These filters can be set at frequencies independent of the focus points, which helps keep the detection stage from reacting to content you want to keep.
A Range control scales overall reduction from 100% down to off. The Response control sets how quickly reduction recovers after a noise event.
