Automatic Dialogue Reverb Reduction and Manual Control
The headline feature is fully automatic reverb reduction for recorded dialogue, built on deep learning. Acon Digital says the neural network was trained on thousands of high-quality voice recordings in a wide range of acoustic surroundings, allowing it to separate speech from its reverb without manual setup.
For music and other sources, DeVerberate 3 keeps the reverb reduction algorithm from version 2. Here you adjust the level and decay times of the original reverberation. Separate controls for the direct sound and the reverberation level let you rebalance both parts after the split.
An Early Reflections Filter works alongside the suppression algorithms. It estimates the impulse response of the early reflections and uses it to cancel their effect.
