01Overview

6034 Ultimate Multi-band Native v7 is a dynamics processor that splits the signal into four bands so each range can be processed separately. Its modules are drawn from the 6050 Ultimate Channel Strip, and they can be swapped on the fly while keeping relative settings, which makes it quick to audition different dynamics approaches. The Native version runs as a standard plugin in common DAWs, and McDSP offers a separate HD version for AAX DSP users.

Four-Band Crossover and Dynamics Control

The crossover filter slopes can be set to 6, 12 or 24 dB per octave, giving control over how sharply the bands separate. Each band can carry its own dynamics module, so compression, expansion or gating can be shaped independently across the frequency range.

Metering shows gain reduction and output levels for every crossover band, along with main input and output levels. Input and output control lets you adjust gain staging at the edges of the chain.

Modules, Presets and Sound Character

The compressor modules are carried over from the 6050 Ultimate Channel Strip, and the plugin includes analog saturation modeling for added character. Double precision processing and zero latency algorithms are part of the design.

The plugin ships with new presets from several named contributors, including Mike Dean, ROCAsound, David Bottrill, Richard Chycki, Lovy Longomba, Eric Racy, Brujo Caipo and Zakk Cervini.
