Nectar 4 Advanced Update is the upgrade path for producers who already own an earlier version or edition of Nectar. It brings the Nectar 4 Advanced toolset to a vocal chain built around mixing, production and vocal design. The suite includes the Auto-Level Module for consistent vocal levels, the Voices Module for vocal layers, the Backer Module for artificial background singers, and Vocal Assistant for guided decisions. Thirteen component plugins cover EQ, de-essing, compression, reverb, delay and more.

Vocal Assistant and Auto-Level for Faster Vocal Mixing

Vocal Assistant offers preset-based decisions for EQ, intensity and width, and can match the tone of a custom reference track. Its Unmask feature lets you reduce competing mix elements directly from its menu screen.

The Auto Level Module sits at the start of the signal chain and manages vocal levels before processing. Its Tame Noise option separates sung and unsung content so only tonal elements are leveled. Dynamic EQ with Follow EQ Mode tracks and removes resonances in real time.

Voices, Backer and Component Plugins for Vocal Production

The Voices Module creates vocal layers with 11 auto-harmonies, a MIDI mode for specific notes, and a Direction control to place voices above or below the lead. The Backer Module shifts a vocal into eight styles to create background singers that sit behind the main vocal.

The thirteen component plugins can be placed into your own DAW vocal chain templates, covering pitch, saturation, de-essing, gate, breath control and dimension. Melodyne 5 Essential is included for pitch correction.
