Device simulation and headphone compensation
MixChecker Ultra+ simulates more than 90 playback devices, including studio monitors, laptops, phones, earbuds, car audio, club PAs and small Bluetooth speakers. Each device can be adjusted independently for volume and stereo base. Audified says the engine also models distortion and clipping, so you can check whether a mix breaks on a selected device.
The new headphone compensation layer corrects the frequency response of a specific headphone model before you switch between simulated devices. The developer presents this as a way to hear the mix without the coloration of your headphones, which is useful when working in untreated rooms or while traveling.
