Saturation Character and Tone Shaping
The core of U78 Saturator is a modeled tube circuit designed to add analog character to a signal. Gain controls the input level into the saturation circuit, and higher settings produce a richer sound.
The Tone control is the plugin's own tone filter. Lower settings give darker sounds with more low-frequency content, while higher settings give brighter, more sparkling results.
Hi-Pass and Low Pass filters sit before the saturation circuit in the signal path. The high-pass covers 30 Hz to 800 Hz and the low-pass covers 1 kHz to 8 kHz, so you can decide which frequencies get driven and which pass through clean.
