The heart of Minimonsta2 is an analog-modeling engine based on the Model D. The three oscillators, the resonant 4-pole filter and the ADS envelope generators provide the core voice, and the loop-feedback function adds the aggressive, sizzling edges associated with the original.

New additions extend that palette. The alternative ladder filter is designed to preserve low end, the Vintage knob introduces subtle analog imperfections, and pulse width control with modulation for VCO1 adds movement to the oscillator. Pan spread helps build wide stereo sounds from a single voice.

X-Modifiers form the modulation system. An X-LFO and an X-ADSR section can modulate almost every parameter. You select a target knob or slider, then set the X-LFO and X-ADSR amounts to route modulation to it.

Four programmable Macros let you control several parameters at once, and programmable Aftertouch with expanded Velocity controls adds expression. The new Preset Browser offers tagging, sorting and search, and the instrument ships with more than 800 presets, including over 300 new ones.
