Sound Character and Filter Options

The OB-1 emulation aims to reproduce the tone of the original hardware. The filter can be set to 2-pole or 4-pole operation, and the developer highlights its resonance, which can be pushed into a sharp, screeching character. Waveshaping adds another route to aggressive timbres.

The synth also adds a waveform and waveshape modulation, discrete level controls for the oscillators, sub and noise, LFO sync and retrigger, envelope looping and key tracking. These additions give sound designers more ways to shape bass lines, leads and pads than the original offered.

Modulation, Macros and Sequencing

X-Modifiers allow direct modulation of most parameters through built-in X-LFO and X-ADSR sections, so modulation paths do not need to be set up manually. Four programmable macros give real-time control over several parameters at once, and Macro 4 can be automated by the sequencer.

The arpeggiator and step sequencer include individual step length and probability per step, plus a track dedicated to sequencing Macro 4. Voice modes cover mono unison, legato and poly, with up to 16 voices.
