Sound and character of the Minimoog emulation
Mini V is built around the three-oscillator design of the original Minimoog. The developer describes a rebuilt engine that explores the non-linearities of analog circuitry, aiming for a sound that ranges from creamy to aggressive.
The Vintage knob is a continuous control for circuit age. It can move the sound from precise and stable toward the drifting, detuned character of an older instrument. The Drive knob adds presence and crunch, and it can also recreate the effect of headphone reamplification when pushed.
Filter Bass Compensation lets you raise the filter cutoff and resonance without losing the low end, which is useful for the thick monosynth baritones the Minimoog is known for.
