01Overview

LunchTable is built around the sound of everyday objects. Producer Fki 1$t worked with BEATSURFING to create it, drawing on recorded pen, pencil, coin and surface tapping. The library covers desks, pens, coins and many other surfaces, so you can build rhythms from sounds that are rarely found in traditional drum kits. Sounds are sorted into Kick, Snare, HiHat and Percussion categories, with multi-out for routing each group separately in your DAW.

Sound Library and Velocity Control

The plugin contains more than 4,400 recorded tapping samples. Each sound is velocity-sensitive, which the developer says gives a more organic feel when played. Independent velocity control lets you set the impact and the body of a hit separately, so you can shape attack and tail without leaving the plugin.

Close and room mics are included, letting you blend a dry, direct sound with a more open, reverberant one. A built-in EQ offers further refinement of the tone.

Grooves, Pads and Workflow

LunchTable includes 116 preloaded grooves. You can also import your own MIDI clips. For live playing, 12 one-shot pads support finger drumming with any controller.

Because the instrument is available as VST3, VST2, AU and AAX, it can be loaded in compatible DAWs on Windows and macOS.

What do I need to run LunchTable?

On Windows you need Windows 7 or later, a 2GHz Pentium IV or equivalent processor, and at least 335MB of free disk space. On macOS you need macOS 10.15 or later, an Intel or Apple Silicon processor, and at least 335MB of free disk space. A host that supports 64-bit VST or AudioUnit is required.

Does LunchTable require an internet connection?
