01Overview

VRAC+ builds on the drumify approach of the original VRAC. Load your own recording, a DAW input or a sound from the VRAC+ sample library, and the plugin slices it into individual hits. Each pad can then be sculpted with a bank of drumification models, so you are designing the sound behind the kit rather than browsing for ready-made drums. The plugin is available for Windows and macOS.

Turning Any Sample Into a Drum Kit

The core workflow starts with a sample. Any recording, DAW input or item from the VRAC+ sample library can serve as the seed of a kit. Auto slicing finds the percussive moments in the audio, and a sensitivity control lets you decide how many slices the plugin detects.

This makes VRAC+ useful when you want drums with the character of a specific sound, such as a field recording or a raw loop, rather than a standard sample pack kit.

Shaping Each Hit With Sound Design Tools

Drumification models cover kick, snare, hat and clap. You can morph between models to find the character you want for each hit. Inside each model, Warp reshapes its dynamic envelope, Impact shapes the attack, and Instability adds variation so repeated hits do not sound identical.

Tone Shift, Super and EQ provide final control over the tone. Global Tone Shift, Filter, Transpose and Volume let you adjust the whole kit at once.
