01Overview

Lofi Keys 2 is a reworked version of Karanyi Sounds' keyboard instrument. It builds on the keyboard sounds of the earlier release and adds the MINIWAVE wavetable engine, a set of neural-modeled effects and an AI-assisted reverb. The developer positions it beyond lo-fi, for pop, R&B, hip-hop, trap and cinematic textures. The interface is compact, with a streamlined set of controls that can all be assigned to MIDI.

Sound Engine and Wavetable Synthesis

The instrument includes 11 keyboard sounds and more than 30 synth patches for building custom instruments. Karanyi Sounds describes the sample sources as pristine recordings of legendary instruments.

The MINIWAVE engine adds wavetable synthesis for modulated leads and bass layers. A coloring module offers a WOW control and four noise types: Tape, Vinyl, Bitcrush and Digital. A Smart Randomizer can generate starting points when you need inspiration.

Neural Effects and Workflow

The effect rack includes Vapor Dimension mk2, a dimension effect with a stereo enhancer; Neural Amp, which provides custom amp models and saturators; and Neural Space, an AI-powered reverb with an adaptive function. All effects can be rearranged in the chain.

The preset library contains 65 factory and artist presets, including the Lo-Jazz-Fi Vibes DLC by Jonathan Leach. A UI Scale option is provided for better visibility.
