01Overview

Key Suite collects 94 keyboard instruments across three libraries: Acoustic, Electric and Digital. The acoustic library covers concert grand pianos, uprights, plucked strings and metallophones. The electric library focuses on electric pianos with tines, reeds and clavs, along with analog synthesizers built to replicate them. The digital library covers early vintage digital pianos and sound modules. Each instrument can be edited for response and color, and processed with built-in effects.

Sound Design and Playability Controls

Each instrument can be shaped with its own controls. A front-panel Velocity Curve control helps you find a comfortable response on any keybed. Discrete microphone controls move the sound from the close detail of player position to a more resonant, cinematic character.

Individual levels for Sustain, Release, Sympathetic Resonance and Pedal let you balance the sound closely. Several preset configurations are included as starting points before you edit the sound yourself.

Built-In Effects and Processing

Key Suite includes IR-based and algorithmic reverb processors, a 3-band EQ with tone and drive, and a multi-mode modulation processor with Phasor, Thorus, flanger and rotary speaker simulation. A digital delay is also included.

These effects let you place the same instrument in a small room, a concert hall or a wide ambient space without adding external plugins.

What do I need to run Key Suite?

Key Suite runs in UVI Workstation version 3.0.11 or later, or in Falcon version 2.0.7 or later. An iLok account is required for license activation, and a free iLok account is enough without a dongle. An internet connection is needed for activation.

Which operating systems does Key Suite support?

Key Suite supports macOS 10.14 Mojave through macOS 15 Sequoia, and Windows 10 through Windows 11 in 64-bit versions.

How much disk space does Key Suite need?

The system requirements list 51 GB of disk space. A 7,200 rpm hard drive is recommended, or a solid state drive. At least 4 GB of RAM is needed, and 8 GB or more is highly recommended for large UVI soundbanks.
