Water Lute Sound and Articulations
Aquaalt samples the water lute as plucks, long and short bowed notes, a sul ponticello bowed articulation, and glissandos up and down. Each articulation is available in both microphone positions, so you can choose a closer, more direct tone or the direct line in signal and mix them.
Soundiron describes the instrument as having a rich acoustic character with bright note definition. The library includes up to 8 round robin samples and 6 velocity layers per note, which helps the repeated notes avoid sounding identical.
The instrument is also packed with 20 ambient pads and evolving drones made from the same source recordings. These suit atmospheric beds and textural layers that sit alongside more conventional parts.
