Piano Source Material and Sound Design Textures
The core of the library is a box grand piano, recorded with notes, releases, clusters, glissandos, dead keys and pedal noises captured in two microphone positions. Soundiron says the recordings were reshaped into new evolving tones, textures, movements, patterns and distortions, so the piano is a starting point rather than the final sound.
The library contains 11 multi-sampled ambient pads, evolving drones and impacts. These suit film scoring, ambient beds and sound-design work where you want the character of an old piano without a conventional piano tone.
With 2,264 stereo samples in 24 bit / 48 kHz uncompressed PCM WAV format, the source material offers a high level of detail for processing.
