01Overview

Filter MINI brings the classic filter tone of Arturia's Mini V software synth into a dedicated effects plugin. Its 24dB per octave low-pass ladder filter can warm up, smooth or sweeten audio, from synth parts to sensitive recordings. Ladder filter sound and core controls

The plugin is a virtual recreation of a 24dB per octave low-pass ladder filter. Its controls include Drive, Cutoff Frequency, Emphasis, a Dry/Wet setting and an output volume control.

Because the filter is available as a standalone effect, you can apply its tone to any sound source, not only to synthesizers. The developer describes the goal as reproducing the filter's warm, musical character accurately.

Modulation with LFO, envelope follower and step sequencer

The LFO offers four waveforms plus a Sample and Hold mode, with a Phase parameter, and can be synchronized to the DAW clock. The step sequencer runs up to eight steps, has a Smooth parameter and can also sync to the DAW clock.

The envelope follower responds to the input level and provides Sensitivity, Attack and Decay controls. The LFO, sequencer and envelope follower can modulate the cutoff, emphasis and each other, so filter movement can follow the rhythm of a track or the dynamics of a signal.
