Efx FRAGMENTS offers three granular modes. Classic is the broadest and most customizable, with control over quantization, grain length and how gentle or destructive the processing is. Rhythmic locks grain size and density to tempo-matched values, which suits machine-like movement and mangled drum loops. Texture mode focuses on sprawling clouds, drones and bow-like resonance, and adds a Layers macro that builds ensemble-style density.

The plugin can process any sound source, from short transients and samples to full stems and vocal parts. Arturia positions it for glitch and stutter effects, rhythmic variation, textural enhancement and ambient reverb-like spaces.

The grain capture stage includes pitch quantization across 15 scales and grain quantization with transient detection or snap-to-grid modes. A spatializer section offers nine trajectory presets for moving sound around the stereo field. Two FX slots with flexible routing can run the signal through effects such as Multi-Filter, Tape Echo and Stereo Flanger.

The advanced modulation section includes an envelope follower, three function generators and a step sequencer, so grains can respond to the dynamics of your track or move over time. A curated library of 60 presets gives a starting point before you shape your own sounds.
