DriveShaper 2: Rhythmic Multiband Distortion Plugin by Cableguys Free Download

DriveShaper 2 offers 11 distortion styles. Soft and Hard Clip give classic analogue-style clipping, Soft and Hard Square produce fizzy distortion around zero crossings, and Soft and Hard Rectify create octave-up effects. Skew, Sine, Triangle, Saw and Extreme Fold provide wavefolding transformations.

Each band can carry its own style, LFO and envelope, and a dry/wet mix is available per band. Grip, Push, Accent and Tone are dedicated controls for managing how the distortion sits in the mix. Input and Output Gain controls help with gainstaging.

The waveform editor lets you draw throbbing, stepped or ramped drive patterns. LFO loops can be set in beats and bars, from 1/128 to 32 bars, with sample-accurate sync, or in Hertz and milliseconds. Patterns can be doubled or tripled with the 2x/3x button, and waves can be flipped, resized, moved, randomized, copied and pasted between Shapers.

Audio triggering resets LFOs on each transient, which allows targeting of attack and sustain on drums and loops. The input can be split into up to three frequency bands, with the Bands area used for setup. Solo bands and a spectrum view help with fine-tuning, and a Smoothed Bypass switches to the dry signal without clicks.
