Smear, Drive and Sync Controls
Two resonant shelving filters handle the talk-box character. Used lightly, they add vowel-like movement. Pushed hard, they produce a more aggressive screamer effect. Three smear modes let you choose upward, downward or two-way frequency modulation.
The Drive control moves a signal from gentle saturation to extreme overdrive, and three distortion types (soft, medium and hard) cover different tones. Smear, Drive and Makeup are synced together, so tempo-based scream effects can be built in one plugin rather than through separate routing.
The bottom row of Shape, Speed and Smooth dials designs the waveform that controls the top-row parameters. Sync speed supports straight, triplet and dotted rhythms, and five wave shapes have adjustable start points.
