The Hexagon Controller and Macro Sliders

Excite Audio describes the hexagon as an alternative to the traditional XY pad. Six macro sliders sit on the hexagon, and each one can be assigned to distortion, filtering or modulation parameters in the plugin.

A magnetic field around the mouse cursor pulls the sliders toward or away from it. In the Cursor & Hexagon settings you can switch between attract and repel modes and turn the magnet on or off. Cursor movements can be performed live or pre-programmed, and effect parameters assigned to the centre of the hexagon are modulated by the incoming audio level.

Presets, Input Controls and Safety Options

The plugin includes 75 presets, made up of 35 dual presets, 30 FX and mapping presets, and 10 path and cursor presets. The path and cursor presets determine how the magnetic cursor moves through the hexagon.

Input and output gain controls, a safety limiter toggle and a global bypass are included. A step-by-step interactive tutorial is also provided for learning the interface.
