01Overview

NoiseShaper 2 is built for adding texture rather than static hiss. Its noise sources can be shaped with drawn waveforms, filtered with trim, mono and dual high/low-pass filters, and synced to your tempo with sample-accurate LFO loops. Dynamic modes let the noise follow the rhythm of MIDI notes or audio, so the texture moves with your track instead of sitting flat under it. It runs on Windows and macOS and includes a trial.

Dynamic Noise Shaping and Rhythm Control

Rather than a fixed layer of hiss, NoiseShaper 2 lets the noise change over time. Cableguys describes its Follow mode as adding rhythmically synced sizzle, while Duck mode fills the gaps between hits with lo-fi texture.

The LFO can be set in beats and bars, from 1/128 to 32 bars, or in Hertz and milliseconds. Audio-rate modulation reaches up to 5.24kHz, and a 2x/3x button doubles or triples a pattern with one click.

Trigger Smoothing and Smoothed Bypass reduce clicks when you switch waves or move back to the dry signal.

Workflow, Controls and Editing Tools

Waveforms are drawn in the editor, and you can flip, resize, move or randomize a wave or selection. Waves can be copied and pasted between any Shapers, and LFO edits support unlimited undo and redo.

Solo bands, a dry/wet mix per band and Master Mix help you set up the effect inside a mix. A spectrum view and an oscilloscope with Magnitude mode and Freeze help you check the result.

The interface can be resized from 75% to 200%, supports Retina/HiDPI displays, and includes hover help on every control.
