CS-80 V4: Analog-Modeling Articulate Synthesizer by Arturia Free Download

The CS-80 V4 is built around two voltage-controlled oscillators, each with three waveform shapes, pulse width modulation and noise. A sub-oscillator and a ring modulator extend the low end and the metallic, sci-fi timbres. Four filters, configurable as high-pass and low-pass stages, let you shape harmonic content, and two LFOs and four envelopes supply modulation.

A two-source modulation mixer routes modulation to three destinations, and a dedicated chorus and tremolo add movement. Three FX slots offer 15 effects to choose from, so the sound can be taken well beyond the original hardware.

Arturia describes the instrument as having a distinctly cinematic character, suited to pads, basses and plucked leads.

Playability is a central part of the design. Velocity and aftertouch can be set to affect volume and brilliance independently for each oscillator section, and the virtual ribbon starts pitch bends from the point where it is first touched. The instrument supports polyphonic aftertouch response, MPE compatibility and MTS-ESP microtuning.

A built-in five-mode arpeggiator and full MIDI controller mapping cover performance and automation. The plugin can be played in a DAW or in Standalone mode with a MIDI keyboard.
