Chorus JUN-6 is an Arturia effects plugin that recreates the chorus built into the Roland Juno 6 synthesizer. It offers three easy-access modes, a Manual mode for custom rate and depth, and a dry/wet Mix control.
Chorus JUN-6 models the chorus section of the Roland Juno 6, a synth whose built-in chorus became popular in its own right. Arturia has reproduced the original's three modes, including the LFO frequencies, so the effect behaves like the hardware. For producers who want the classic sound without customizing, the mode buttons offer quick results. For those who want more control, the Manual section opens up rate, depth and phase settings.
Chorus JUN-6 keeps the original's three modes. Mode I gives a warm stereo swirl. Mode II increases the rate and depth. The combined I+II position sums both modes in mono, which Arturia describes as a vibrato-like sound.
A Mono Input button lets you sum a stereo source to mono before the effect. When it is off, the left and right delay lines process the stereo input for a wide image.
The Manual mode adds Depth and Rate controls for settings beyond the three presets. An LFO Phase knob adjusts the stereo width, and the rate can be synced to the host tempo or run freely.
A Mix control sets the dry/wet balance, so you can blend the effect in subtly alongside the original signal. These controls make it possible to move from a classic Juno chorus sound to a more customized modulation effect.
