Sound and Character of the Four-Way Chorus
Most chorus plugins double the signal. Orchid quadruples it, and the developer notes that some of its changes are applied separately to each of the four chorus modules. This pushes the sound toward phasing and comb-filtered textures.
The Speed, Depth, Feedback and Spread controls shape the effect. Feedback sets how much of the signal returns to the input, changing the intensity of the effect, while Spread moves the sound across the stereo field.
The Shimmer dial adds up to two octaves above the original audio with a slow phasing effect, which brightens the top end. The Space dial adds reverb to each chorus module to glue them together.
