Routing Audio and MIDI Between Applications and Computers
Connector is built around routing. Insert it on a track in one application and a matching instance on another track or machine, and the signal travels between them in real time. Each connection can carry audio and MIDI, and a single instance can send audio and MIDI out and receive them back.
This makes it useful for splitting a session across machines, sending a sound from one plugin host into another, or building a chain that loops back on itself. Feedback loops are allowed inside your DAW, which most hosts do not permit with ordinary plugins.
Because the plugin works across different sample rates and unsynchronized master clocks, you can connect locations that were not designed to talk to each other without manually matching their settings.
