Vocal Chop Sound and Character

Bloom Vocal Edit organizes its content into eight sample banks, each dedicated to a different type of vocal element. Each bank contains 14 phrases that are triggered from the keyboard across two octaves, with white keys starting samples and black keys adjusting playback and triggering sequences.

Four macro controls shape the sound quickly: Glue, Fuzz, Metallic and Width. Glue smooths dynamics, Fuzz adds pedal-style distortion, Metallic adds a short slapback delay, and Width handles stereo spread and ensemble effects.

Workflow, Editing and Import

The Edit page exposes sample start and end points, playback direction and speed, pitch and formant settings, envelopes, and four choke groups for interaction between samples. The Phrase Player sequences samples and modulates pitch, velocity and filters, with familiar arpeggiator controls such as Rate, Latching and Swing.

You can import up to 112 of your own samples by dragging audio files onto the waveform view or an empty bank slot, then set their key and BPM so they sync with the engine. Imported samples can be swapped at any time.
