Playable Vocal Phrases and Sound Control

The instrument maps phrases to a MIDI keyboard, with white keys triggering samples and loops and black keys changing properties such as playback speed and tuning. Five factory modifiers cover Half-time, Double-Time, Reverse, Octave Down and Octave Up, and five custom modifiers can be added.

A Phrase Player sequences sample playback and can modulate pitch, velocity, hi-cut and lo-cut filters and the three effects. Rate, Latching and Swing controls are included. Four macros labeled Warmer, Speaker, Doubler and Ethereal handle quick processing, while the five main FX parameters cover Reverb, Delay, Modulation, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut.

Editing and Importing Your Own Samples

The Edit page exposes sample start and end points, playback direction, speed, pitch, fine-tuning, formant control, attack, release and four choke groups. Snap to Grid and Snap to Transient help with marker placement.

You can drag and drop your own audio files into the instrument, either in the waveform view or in an empty slot on the banks page. Set the key and BPM of imported samples so they sync with the host tempo. Up to 112 of your own samples can be imported and swapped at any time.

The effects section includes Reverb modes Plate, Hall and Spring, Delay modes Stereo and Ping Pong, and Modulation modes Chorus, Vibrato and Flanger, with rearrangeable effect modules.
