01Overview

Bloom Palette Object Upgrade is for owners of Bloom Palette Object Lite who want a bigger library. It adds more presets and additional foley and instrument samples, plus a sample randomise function and a Banks View for swapping presets quickly. Excite Audio describes the upgrade as the way to bring real-life sounds and textures into electronic productions. The full Bloom Palette Object version is also available as a separate product.

Sound Sources and Sequencing for Organic Beats

The instrument is built around sampled sources, including household objects, machinery, tuned foley, textures, acoustic drums and percussion. Its 14 sample keys are synced to the host tempo, and the samples can be set to play forwards, backwards, pendulum or loop.

The sequencer lets you trigger and draw sample sequences and modulation, rather than only one-shots. Pitch, volume and filter settings can be automated, and three effects can be modulated alongside them. Excite Audio says the sequencer is designed for both one-shots and looping sequences.

Editing, Importing and Effects

The Edit page offers waveform display, start and end markers with snap to grid or transient, playback speed options, and four choke groups. You can import up to 112 of your own samples, and they can be swapped at any time.

Four macros (Smooth, Echo, Tape and Width) and five main effect parameters (Noise, Reverb, Speaker, Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut) shape the overall sound, and global bypass is included.
